Two Indy Judges Nominated By President Obama

Last updated on Tuesday, January 19, 2010

(UNDATED) - President Obama will nominate two Indianapolis judges and a former federal prosecutor to federal judgeships in Indiana.

If confirmed by the senate, Marion Superior Judge Tanya Walton Pratt would become Indiana's first African-American federal judge.

She and U.S. Magistrate Jane Magnus-Stinson spent 10 years together on the Marion Superior Court bench.

Together, they'd be the second and third women to serve as federal judges from Indiana.
