Last updated on Friday, January 29, 2010

(UNDATED) - A survey of registered voters in Indiana found strong support for increased public school options and for opening more public school charter schools.

Russ Simmick is President of the Indiana Public Charter Schools Association and says the survey found 82% of those surveyed favor parents having more public school options when choosing a school for their children.

Right now, about 3% of all public schools operating in the state are public charter schools.
