Senate Pres. Making Cuts Following State Revenue Decline

(STATEHOUSE, IN) - Indiana Senate President Pro Tem David Long says the senate will be making cuts following a continuing decline in state revenue.

The senate will reduce overall spending by an additional 5% and continue a hiring freeze.

He also says senators and senate employees will not receive raises in 2010.

State revenues for October were $46 million dollars below expectations.
