(UNDATED) - Indiana state health officials say H1N1 continues to impact the state, but the numbers are starting to paint a more positive picture.

State Epidemiologist Pam Pontones says fewer people are seeking treatment for flu-like illnesses in hospital emergency rooms, but the number of cases appearing in doctors' offices appears about the same.

Pontones says most of the office visits are for people under the age of 25.

The number of residents with the flu needing hospitalization also dropped over the last week.

Still, the flu continues to take Hoosier lives.

Pontones says 6 people died last week, all with confirmed cases of H1N1 flu.

The total number of flu deaths in the state since June 1st is 30, with 28 of the cases confirmed for H1N1.
