Highschool Football Player Working To Make The Game Safer

Last updated on Wednesday, November 25, 2009

(FRANKLIN, IN) - A Franklin Central High School football player is working to make the game safer for players.

Jeremy Funk recently started a foundation called "Head Strong" to reduce the risks of concussions in athletes, particularly football players.

Funk sustained multiple concussions in his four years of football with the last injury ending his aspirations of playing any contact sports.

He's become passionate about helping schools afford impact concussion management software.

It helps sports-medicine clinicians evaluate memory, brain processing speed, reaction time and post-concussive symptoms.
