Last updated on Tuesday, November 10, 2009

(PLYMOUTH, IN) - Community leaders are reacting to the death of a Hoosier soldier who was gunned down last week during the Fort Hood massacre.

32-year-old Army Staff Sgt. Justin Decrow of Plymouth was among 13 people killed when an army psychiatrist allegedly opened fire at Texas Military Base.

Plymouth Mayor Mark Senter says Decrow will be honored on Veteran's Day for his service during a ceremony at Plymouth High School.

Decrow was married to his high school sweetheart and the couple had one daughter.

He joined the army right after finishing high school in Plymouth.

Funeral arrangements have not been released.
