Price Of Indiana Gasoline Up 20 Cents

(INDIANAPOLIS, IN) - The price of gasoline in central Indiana has risen about 20 cents a gallon in the last couple of weeks, but the retailers say their profit margin is declining.

That's because they're paying more too.

The increase can be traced to higher prices for crude oil, which drives prices at other levels.

The wholesale price of gasoline in the Indianapolis area, before taxes and other costs was $1.78 a gallon October first.

That hit $2.13 this week, a 30% increase.
