(UNDATED) - The Indiana Attorney General is attempting to suspend the license of a Middletown doctor who allegedly wrote 93 thousand drug prescriptions in 3 1/2 years.

Consumer Protection Spokeswoman Molly Butters says Attorney General Greg Zoeller filed a complaint with the Indiana Medical Licensing Board after reviewing medical records that linked Dr. Phillip Delano Foley to nine deaths.

In his complaint, he calls Dr. Foley a "clear and immediate danger to public health and safety." Zoeller is asking for an initial 90 day suspension of Foley's license.

He has a hearing scheduled Thursday before the review board. Foley denies any wrongdoing.
