(FISHERS, IN) - Fishers Town Councilman and Hamilton County Republican Chairman Charlie White is the first official candidate for secretary of state.
White began exploring a candidacy soon after last year's election, and made it official on Tuesday.
White says he'd follow the path laid out by republican incumbent Todd Rokita, who's barred by term limits from running again.
He says he'd support the photo id law Rokita led the way in advocating, and is open to expanding the use of centralized "vote centers" instead of traditional precincts.
