(INDIANAPOLIS, IN) - Charges have been filed in the embezzlement of the Penrod Society.
The Indianapolis based cultural society has held the Penrod art fair every September since 1967, but Marion County Prosecutor Carl Brizzi says the 2009 Penrod almost didn't happen.
Brizzi announced charges against Penrod's former Treasurer Brandon Benker.
Benker is accused of embezzling nearly $400,000 dollars between February and November of 2008.
