(UNDATED) - With four deaths now blamed on H1-N1 influenza in Indiana, state health officials are meeting Tuesday in Wabash to discuss the outbreak.
An Elkhart County resident became the latest victim Friday to die from complications related to the virus.
State Health Commissioner Dr. Judy Monroe says it serves as an unfortunate reminder that Hoosiers are vulnerable to the illness.
She encourages residents to wash their hands, use sanitizers and stay home from work if they are sick.
The meeting Tuesday is in preparation for the fall flu season. Indiana has nearly 300 confirmed cases of H1-N1.
