Purdue Student Out Of Jail, Facing Reckless Homicide Charges

(WEST LAFAYETTE, IN) - A Purdue junior from Carmel is out of jail on bond, but faces preliminary reckless homicide charges in the shooting death of a friend.

22-year-old Cory Lynch told police he and another friend were playing a joke on 21-year-old Landon Siela Saturday when a semi-automatic handgun fired a bullet at Siela and killed him.

Police believe the men had been drinking.
