Gary Hoping To Capitalize On Jackson's Legacy

Last updated on Monday, August 10, 2009

(GARY, IN) - The city of Gary is hoping to capitalize on Michael Jackson’s legacy by moving to build a museum to honor the Jackson family.

A museum could attract tourists and their dollars, helping to restore Gary's pride and economic success.

Community development director Jackie Drago-Hunter says the city is taking the project seriously and has formed a committee to identify and research three potential locations.

She declined to list those spots, but says the group meets today (Monday) to go over blueprint plans.
