Stores Gearing Up For Lift Of Sunday Alcohol Sales Law

Last updated on Tuesday, July 7, 2009

(UNDATED) - Indiana liquor and grocery stores are gearing up for a fight next year to lift the state’s decades-old ban on Sunday alcohol sales.

Stores must shut down alcohol sales at 3:00 AM on Sundays, and can't start up again until seven the following morning.

Indiana Retail Council President Grant Monahan argues it's a prohibition without a purpose.
