(SOUTH BEND) - The St. Joseph County Prosecutor’s Office says a one-year-old boy hospitalized with a head injury has died.
The infant was taken to the hospital July 22th when his adoptive parents noticed he was lethargic after he returned from a weekend with his birth mother.
The investigation so far hasn't uncovered whether the child's injuries were accidental or the result of child abuse.
An autopsy will be performed to determine the exact cause of death.
