Daniels And Nine Other Governors Asking For More Ethanol In Gas

Last updated on Thursday, July 16, 2009

(UNDATED) - Governor Daniels and nine other Midwestern Governors are asking the white house to allow more ethanol in unleaded gas.

Congress has set a goal of filling more than 20-billion gallons of the nation's fuel needs with renewable fuels in six years, and 36-billion gallons within 13 years.

The Midwestern Governors Association argues it'll be a lot harder to reach those goals without increased use of ethanol as a bridge to more advanced bio-fuels.
