Two Former Teachers Arrested For Dealing Near School

Last updated on Thursday, June 18, 2009

(SOUTH BEND) - Twin sisters and ex-teachers will serve time behind bars for dealing methamphetamine within 1,000 feet of school property.

Maria and Michelle Stancati were sentenced Tuesday to serve 20 years in the Indiana Department of Correction for the crime.

Maria also was sentenced to 65 days of incarceration on one count of OWI in an unrelated case.

The sisters entered guilty pleas in St. Joseph County Court last month.

No trial date has been set in connection with Michelle's second meth arrest.
