(INDIANAPOLIS) - A ruling is expected today on the admissibility of evidence in the trial of two former Indianapolis Metro Police Officers accused of stealing money and drugs.

The defense claims accounts of meetings involving their clients are based on hearsay, including one from a witness who is deceased.

U.S. District Judge Larry McKinney has decided to allow an FBI special agent to provide a translation, over the objection of lawyers for fallen IMPD Officers Robert Long and Jason Edwards.

The two are under federal indictment, accused of stealing money and drugs.

Yet to come is the star witness, former officer James Davis, who entered a guilty plea in the same case.

He'll get no more than 10 to 15 years in prison in return for his testimony.
