(UNDATED) - The beleaguered Indianapolis Capital Improvement Board may not be around much longer.

And after meeting Monday, the board seems resigned to its fate.

The board's critics had hoped to hear the details of further budget cuts to be put before the Indiana General Assembly by Governor Mitch Daniels.

But CIB President Bob Grand says he hasn't even seen the governor's report and he delayed expected discussion of other financial matters.

The governor and Indianapolis Mayor Greg Ballard proposed formation of a new board with expanded responsibilities, abolishing the CIB.

Monday's meeting may have been the board's last.

"A part of me hopes it was the last CIB meeting", Grand told reporters.

"The mayor and the governor are working out this deal...they know that i and other board members...are going to be supportive of what they come up with."
