(BLOOMINGTON) - U.S. Foodservice, based in Cumberland, Maryland, has announced the closing of its North Star Food Company distribution facility in Bloomington.

About 200 workers will be out of work on or about October 3rd.

North Star delivers food products to chain restaurants.

The parent company's director of public affairs, Kevin Hagan, says the firm was "unable to reach terms that were really acceptable for both the company" and an un-named "very large chain customer."
