(INDIANAPOLIS) - Four Peregrine Falcons have been banded.
The baby birds are nested in a box on the 31st floor of a downtown Indianapolis high-rise.
They began hatching in late April.
The bands help track the progress of the species.
Blood was also taken from the chicks to be stored in a national database.
The parents of the birds are Kinney and Kathy Q.
The birds should begin flying sometime during the first week of June.
Chances of survival for falcons are slim. It is estimated only 20-percent of the chicks will survive.
The names of the chicks are Kinka, Indy Fruna, KB, and Sully.
