(UNDATED) - Freezing April temperatures are putting our May flowers at risk.

It seems Mother Nature can't make up her mind, after temperatures in the 70s this spring, she is bringing us very cold air.

Meteorologist Todd Klaassen says the National Weather Service has issued a freeze warning tonight for most of Indiana.

Temperatures are expected to fall into the upper 20s Monday night. Klaassen says it is very important to protect outdoor flowers and other vegetation.

According to the National Weather Service, April 17 is the average date for the last spring freeze in Indiana.
