(UNDATED) - The Indiana State Police Marijuana Eradication Program is in full swing as pot growers move their plants outdoors to mature.

Even though the advent of spring marks an increase in the number of pot plants found outdoors, authorities say eradication is no longer a seasonal process.

Sgt. Anthony Emery says officers eradicated more than 20 million plants in 2008. 744 arrests were made last year in connection with the pot.

Most grow operations are found after officers receive tips about illegal activity. If you spot pot, he encourages you to call your local state police post.

Tips can be made anonymously.
