(INDIANAPOLIS) - An Indianapolis man accused of beating a 14-month old child to death is behind bars on a one million dollar bond.
Lillianna Goodman died Friday afternoon at St. Vincent hospital.
She was taken there after police say she was beaten by a belt and possibly punched by 18-year-old Tayuan Chism.
Chism was the boyfriend of Lilliana's mother.
Police say Chism beat the child because she didn't show him enough respect, and because she didn't finish a meal.
They're expected to seek a murder charge this Monday...
