Scaffolding Collapses While Dozen Children On Top

Last updated on Sunday, March 8, 2009

(INDIANAPOLIS) - The Indianapolis fire department responded to a scaffolding collapse Saturday morning at the Indiana State Fairgrounds.

The incident happened at the Pepsi Coliseum just prior to the performance by the Murat Shrine Circus.

A circus elephant was giving rides to children before the performance and accidentally bumped into a mobile stairway and knocked it over.

The stairway had about a dozen children on it and none of them were seriously injured. The show went on.
