(GARY) - A class-action lawsuit has been filed against 11 companies by a group of parents in Lake County over air emissions.
The suit claims the region's air has become so polluted by toxic emissions that children face life-long development and health issues.
It cites a series of studies that show Lake County has higher levels of airborne toxins including cadmium, manganese and lead than elsewhere in the United States.
