Highway Worker Killed In Interstate Accident

(EVANSVILLE) - A state highway worker was killed Tuesday near a work zone in Evansville.

The victim is identified as 49-year-old mark Shepherdson of Newburgh.

State police say a dump truck ran into the rear of an INDOT truck, which was stationary on northbound Interstate 164, towing an arrow board while crews worked on the shoulder.

The driver of the dump truck, 62-year-old William Hurt of Boonville suffered injuries.
