Former Writer For "Cosby" Sentenced 26 Years For Murder Of Wife

Last updated on Saturday, March 28, 2009

(CARMEL) - A former television writer was sentenced to 26 years in prison for the beating death of his wife inside their luxury home in Carmel.

49-year-old J.J. Paulsen beat his 39-year-old wife Leanne Paulsen to death sometime in 2007.

Police found her body hidden inside the attic of their home that April, while J.J. was found walking miles away on a Carmel street.

Paulsen - who once wrote for "cosby" and "in living color" - had been in Hamilton County jail since his arrest that day.

At Friday's sentencing, the judge ruled Paulsen can never direct, produce, write or collaborate with anyone to profit from his wife's death.
