(UNDATED) - Carroll County is gearing up for another flood. The Tippecanoe River has experienced several major floods recently and with the recent rainfall, they are expecting more flooding problems for many homes along the river.

Last year the area received a 500 year flood, and a 100 year flood and this bout is expected to be another 100 year flood.

Carroll County EMA Director Dave McDowell says most of the residents near the river have taken warnings to heart and have left the area.

McDowell says the residents have been given more than enough warning, but he adds if people need rescued that boats and crews are on standby.

He says plans to alleviate the problems include enforcing flood plain management and suggesting people raise their homes.
