(EAST CHICAGO) - Steel workers at two Arcelor Mittal plants in Indiana harbor are facing a six-month layoff, although the number of workers affected has yet to be determined.

Nearly 500 steel workers were laid off from the Burn's harbor plant in November.

That's when Arcelor Mittal originally wanted to lay off over 2,400 workers before the company and the Steelworkers Union reached an agreement.
