(UNDATED) - A judge has frozen the assets of the estranged wife of Marcus Schrenker.

Schrenker is the investment adviser from Fishers accused of stealing money from clients through bad investments and hefty commissions.

Judge J. Richard Campbell on Thursday issued an order to freeze Marcus and Michelle Schrenker's joint assets into receivership in an effort to recover some of the money allegedly taken.

Michelle Screnker served as CFO on one of her husband's businesses. Judge Campbell says Schrenker's wife was able to withdraw money from the business accounts and allowed her husband to put business assets under her name.

Marcus Schrenker has pleaded not guilty in federal court to claims he crashed his airplane in an attempt to fake his death.

Prosecutors say Schrenker parachuted out of the plane somewhere of Alabama. He was eventually arrested a Tallahassee, Florida campground.
