(GARY) - Gary police shot and killed a robbery suspect who fled from them after he refused to drop his loaded handgun.
28-year-old Darnell Russell was pronounced dead Monday after Patrolmen Anthony Boleware and Darrian Donald shot him during a scuffle.
Lake County police are investigating the shooting.
