Melting Ice And Snow May Cause Flooding

Last updated on Sunday, February 8, 2009

(UNDATED) - As temperatures around the state climb to near 60 degrees on Monday, there’s concern about flooding.

The remnants of the thick blanket of snow and ice could melt quickly and combine with a chance of rain showers.

Hoosiers are being asked by local authorities to check their home's sump pumps, storm water drains and drainage ditches, making sure they are clear so that the water drains properly.
