High School Principal Accused Of Stealing $27,000

Last updated on Sunday, February 8, 2009

(SOUTH BEND) - Adams High School principal Todd Wiedmann has been placed on administrative leave following theft allegations.

Wiedmann is accused of stealing $27,000 from a youth football league of which he's president.

The league's founder told police Friday that he believed Wiedmann was the culprit, in a year-long check writing scheme, where checks were written by Wiedmann to a credit card company.

It will be up to the St. Joseph County Prosecutor's Office whether to file formal charges.
