Vanderburgh County Citizens Without Power

(EVANSVILLE) - 200 crews from utility companies throughout Vanderburgh County are working around the clock to restore power to those still in the dark after this latest winter storm.

Vectren Spokeswoman Chase Kelly says 400 additional utility workers are coming in from other parts of the state as well as other states to help out. Kelly says 100 of those people are tree trimming companies called in to clear limbs and trees from roadways and off power lines.

Kelly says some folks could be in the dark as late as the beginning of next week. She urges people to seek help at area shelters.
