Power Outages Force Counties Into States Of Emergency

(UNDATED) - Worsening weather conditions, power outages and roads blocked by downed trees this morning led county commissioners in Clark, Floyd and Harrison to declare a state of emergency.

Residents are encouraged to stay home and away from the roads.

Duke Energy reported approximately 40,000 customers without power. Shelters are being set up in Floyd and Clark counties for residents without power .
