(NEW CASTLE) - An inmate who walked away from New Castle Corrections Facility Thursday night is back in custody.
27-year-old Jeffrey Kinartail was apparently on his way to see his girlfriend in Indianapolis. He was turned over to Indiana State Police to be transported back to New Castle.
It is unclear if Kinartail was on work release or how he was able to escape from the facility.
