CIRTA Leaders Seek Funding For Central Indiana Mass Transit System

(UNDATED) - Central Indiana Regional Transportation Authority representatives will be in Washington, D.C. this week in an effort to secure some federal economic stimulus funds for mass transit.

CIRTA leaders will meet with Indiana's congressional delegation on Thursday.

Executive Director Ehren Bingaman says it is another step in the effort to seek funding sources to make mass transit a reality in Central Indiana.
