(ANDERSON) - Investigators now believe children playing with a lighter led to an anderson house fire that killed a two-year-old and her one-year-old sister.

The fire broke out just after 11:00pm Wednesday in the city 25 miles northeast of Indianapolis.

Arson investigator Guy Bodenhorn believes the girls' four-year-old and three-year-old brothers ignited the blaze in their bedroom while playing with the lighter.

Two-year-old Hayley Bouslog and one-year-old Jessica Bouslog were sleeping in their cribs and died before firefighters could get to them.

The girls' three brothers and three other family members escaped unharmed from the fire.

Anderson fire cheif David Clendenen hopes this reminds parents to keep a watchful eye on their children, keeping lighters and matches out of the reach of reach.

He says the American Red Cross and he Anderson Fire Department are accepting donations to help the family cope with their loses.
