Power Outages Leave Hoosiers In The Dark, Cold

Last updated on Monday, December 22, 2008

(UNDATED) - Cold weather is being blamed for power outages across Indiana.

More than 75,000 Hoosiers spent the coldest day in the state in nearly two-years without electricity.

Most of the state's power outages were near Fort Wayne, but 6,000 customers on the eastside of Indianapolis were also in the dark yesterday.

As of press time, about 3,000 IPL customers still have no power.
