Last updated on Thursday, December 25, 2008

(GOSHEN) - An Elkhart man who failed to testify in a murder trial is now behind bars himself.

Latrell McCall reportedly told an Elkhart County circuit court judge that he feared for his life and didn't feel comfortable testifying in the trial of Nicholas Knox and Ricardo Telfer. Knox was convicted, while Telfer was acquitted.

At least one other witness was found in contempt of court in connection with this case.

McCall will spend 30 days in jail for failing to testify.
