(EVANSVILLE) - Evansville police are investigating a series of holiday-themed thefts.

Detectives say someone stole a boa snake from an exotic pet store. In another case, a beauty salon owner told police a man came in and demanded a refund for a curling iron. When she told him a refund was not possible, the man allegedly began hitting her with the curling iron.

There have also been a rash of car break-ins as well.
