Last updated on Monday, December 15, 2008

(UNDATED) - Indiana Attorney General Steve Carter is suing Texas-based Envarion Corporation under the state’s do not fax law.

The state is seeking an injunction preventing Envarion and President George Godfrey, III from faxing of unwanted advertisements to Indiana residents.

Envarion's faxes were received in 57 Indiana counties and prompted 1,842 complaints, the largest number of violations recorded since the law's inception in 2007.
