(UNDATED) - Indiana gas prices keep falling, but will they ever hit a dollar a gallon again?

AAA Hoosier Motor Club Spokesman Greg Seiter says it's not out of the question, but he's more confident that gas prices may continue to drop before they go back up.

Hoosier motorists could fill up for a buck and a quarter in some spots in Indiana this week, less in some corners of the state, a few cents more in the state capital.

It's been since before 9/11 since we've gassed up at prices like this--in fact, it's been since May 2000.

Seiter says prices if gas prices fall below a dollar for a regular unleaded gallon of gas, it's not necessarily a good thing. He says gas prices falling that low would indicate the economy is in worse shape than we think.

Seiter says it's going to take a dramatic turn of events to run gas prices back to the more than four-dollars a gallon we paid over the summer.

According to AAA, the statewide average for a gallon of self-served regular unleaded gasoline today/Thursday was $1.53.
