(INDIANAPOLIS) - The Marion County clerk's office confirms that two poll workers were pulled over by Indianapolis Metro Police on election day, handcuffed, put on the ground and held at gunpoint.

Officers were checking a report that a bank robber may have jumped into a cab. But taxis are also used to transport ballots. That's what the two had in the big orange bag that raised officers' suspicions.

The incident was a brief and bipartisan detention--one of the workers was a Republican, the other a Democrat.

A 16-year-old boy was apprehended following the incident. He is now being questioned about the armed election day holdup at an Old National Bank branch.
