(KOKOMO) - A Kokomo man is accused of killing his girlfriend’s 11-month-old baby.
Lieutenant Don Whitehead says 28-year-old Derrick Fox was arrested Wednesday afternoon for neglect of a dependent resulting in death.
Malaki Linley died Sunday of blunt force trauma to his head at Riley Children's Hospital in Indianapolis. He had been taken to a Kokomo area hospital by his caregiver earlier in the day.
Police say Fox was the live-in boyfriend of the infant's mother -- Katie Lindley.
Whitehead says Fox has cooperated with investigators. He's being held in the Howard County Jail without bond.
