(KOKOMO) - Kokomo police are investigating the death of an 11-month old infant.
Police said Malaki Lindley died Sunday at Riley Hospital For Children in Indianapolis.
A person police would only describe as a "caregiver" initially took the child to Howard Regional Health System's emergency room.
Doctors found the baby unconscious and unresponsive, suffering from a "severe head injury".
The case remains under investigation.
