'Kangurritos' Featured At Evansville Fall Festival

Last updated on Monday, October 6, 2008

(EVANSVILLE) - Evansville’s West Side Nut Club Fall Festival gets underway today and everyone’s ‘hopping’ about the new item the Montessori Academy is featuring on their menu at the festival.

People who are brave enough to stop by this year can enjoy Kangurritos -- ten inch tortillas filled with kangaroo meat and toppings. Montessori's Administrator Dianne Barron says they love to draw the adventurous and daring festival goers to their booth each year.

Barron adds they'll also offer favorites such as alligator jerky, chocolate covered crickets and more.

The festival features well over one hundred food booths operated by non-profits, schools and charities.
