(INDIANAPOLIS) - Immigrants who have made their way to Indianapolis will receive more help with a bigger network of volunteers.
Immigrant Welcome Center Executive Director Terri Morris downs says the center is introducing its 22 natural helpers to the Indiana's immigrants. She says the center started two years ago with only 12 volunteers and helped 300 immigrants.
The immigrants are helped in many ways, including finding health care and English classes.
Downs says the city's largest immigrant populations come from Hispanic countries, but others have been welcomed from Sierra Leone, Burma, China and many other countries.
