Colts Coach Talks Adoption As Keynote Speaker

Last updated on Friday, September 5, 2008

(INDIANAPOLIS) - Colts Coach Tony Dungy was the keynote speaker at a fundraiser for Adoptions of Indiana Thursday night.

Dungy and his wife have adopted three children and there may be more. He says kids are our future and it's something we need to do.

Dungy says being an adoptive parent is really no different than being a biological parent and it's been wonderful for his family.

Adoptions of Indiana is a not for profit child- placing agency dedicated to giving hope to children, birth parents and adoptive families.

Those attending the fundraiser got a sneak preview of the upcoming Colts' season from Dungy. He says the team has been working hard and wants to open the season at Lucas Oil Stadium well Sunday when they play the Bears and they're on track to do that.

He says quarterback Peyton Manning, who had knee surgery in the off- season, is ready to go.
